Millington & Yorkshire Wolds - September 18th

Posted 18/9/2016

A great walk from Millington on the Yorkshire Wolds today, in quite hot Indian Summer conditions.

Our walk covered a hilly 7.5 (ish) miles, which was a circuit of paths and bridleways outside the village. An enjoyable walk for our party of nine.

Led for the first time by Steve Pennock, who despite his leading expertise misread the pub opening times and deprived the group of a post walk beer. The soft drink and scone were welcome reward for a great days walking though. Lots to see on this walk in an area which we should explore further,  the most startling event today was however a close encounter with a Buddhist nun who was outside a nearby retreat centre.
