Wardlow Mires Walk - February 13th

Posted 14/2/2016

A rather cold 6.85 miles walk around the White Peak today for our party of 17 who came along.

After early refreshments in the Yonderman Café at Wardlow our walk commenced walking past St Peters Stone and over to Stargate to Cressbrook Dale, where we joined the Monsal Trail for the stretch between Cressbrook and Litton.

Following a lunch break we then returned to Wardlow via the beautiful Tideswell Dale and the outstanding village of Litton, where we has some liquid refreshment at the Red Lion.

Our final mile or so of roads and paths took as back to Wardlow where we spent the couple of hours in a rather rowdy social at the pretty unique Three Stags Heads.

A great day out, bursting with laughter. Thank you for to Richard Eastman for once again doing us proud with return coach travel.
