Clifton Park Toddler Walk - November 29th

Posted 29/11/2015

A very gentle stroll with our very youngest participants in anything but gentle conditions! Given the inclement weather, a depleted party was perhaps inevitable but twelve hardy souls (six adults, one older child in Emily and five under-sixes) turned out for this short jaunt.

Given the conditions, a detour via Herringthorpe playing fields was dropped as these would have been very boggy and hopelessly exposed to the strong and icy wind. However, the foreshortened route of exactly a mile was drawn out to nearly two hours, thanks to a lengthy stop off Clifton Park's play equipment!  We then retired to The Tabard in Herringthorpe for snacks and drinks before going our separate ways.

The day out provided fun and exercise for the little ones and is something we will look to repeat in the summer diary - perhaps with the elongated route - when the rides and museum are open. Meanwhile, we once again extend our thanks to all today's attendees.
