Youlgreave Walk - November 7th

Posted 7/11/2015

Another great day out for DVWG in the Peak District today.

After some early rain and Diane's obligatory tea room stop, our party of 10 set off following the River Bradford towards Middleton by Youlgreave but unfortunately things went rather wrong and we need to de-tour to get back on track. Albeit across some quite wonderful countryside and meadows as we reached the simply stunning village of Middleton.

We then followed some paths to reach a shortened stretch of Lathkill Dale and walked alongside the River Lathkill until we reached the outskirts of Youlgreave once again.

All in all a fantastic days walking, where as usual we laughed our way around 8.45 miles of stunning Peak District scenery.

Finally a big welcome to Roy and Denise Smith who walked with DVWG for the first time today too.
