Pugneys Country Park Toddler Walk - November 6th

Posted 6/11/2016

Our second walk of the weekend was our latest Toddler Walk, which is now a well-established, popular and very worthwhile fixture of DVWG’s walk diaries.

For those who are unfamiliar with the format, these are very short walks which are paced with our youngest participants in mind and are often punctuated with stops along the way.

Today’s walk threatened to be quite wet however conditions brightened just before we started out and we completed our lap of the lake at Pugneys in a steady manner calling off at a bird hide midway to have a look at the wildlife.

Our walk was completed and the younger participants enjoyed the benefit of the new adventure playground at Pugneys before we all retired to the café for drinks and going our separate ways.

Thank you to the twelve adults who came along to support this walk, well done to the nine children who walked too, especially Harvey Coy who walked part of the route with his parents for the first time today.

Finally, welcome to Catriona Parker and her children Zac and Rooney who walked with DVWG for the first time today.
